He was a new friend i made recently

He directs traffic every morning, particularly for the school kids

Across the street, I'd wave, he'd Smile

"How are you doing"

"Good"

Then I head toward the train station, start another day

"Take it easy"

One day

I stopped and asked,

"I've known you for a while,

What's your name?"

"Bill"

"And yours?"

"Call me JP"

Bill's retired for a long time

His grandson is my age

He saw me this morning

"Now, are you ... PJ"

I giggled

"Well, there's an artist i like named PJ..."
